Follow-Up

• The CI was discontinued 7 days post-surgery
• The PICC line was left in for access and a daily infusion prophylaxis regimen was initiated for 7 more days
• After a total of 14 days of prophylaxis, the patient returned to using on-demand factor
• He expressed appreciation for not being hospitalized

  –	He was able to plow snow periodically during that period

• Although not a perfect solution, he was satisfied with the CADD pump and continuous infusion and experienced no adverse events
• He has since returned to landscaping

  –	His business continues to thrive after hiring an extra employee to cover the workload during his recovery from surgery
